Make sure Interlaken is on the itinerary for your next Switzerland vacation!
Located only minutes away from the Interlaken Ost train station, this mountain view overlooks the valleys below and has a direct sightline of Jungfraujoch, the largest mountain in Europe.
Okay, so if that last sentence wasn’t convincing enough, imagine having a glass of wine and that view! Perfect combo!!! Thanks to the Harder Kulm Panorama Restaurant, you can easily grab a glass a wine and a light snack and have your own impromptu picnic in one of the best views in Europe.
The best part is not only the view and the wine but also the price. A glass of wine cost less than 5 francs and they were generous with their pour!
Now if your less into the picnic idea then don’t rule this place out yet, as the restaurant has inside seating and an outdoor patio in addition.
Once you’re done with lunch you can check out the nature trails that are located on the right side of the restaurant. We hiked one for about 30 minutes and enjoyed the views along the way.
If you’re visiting in the summer you may get lucky and see paragliders take off right nearby. Truly an awesome and toe-curling sight to see so close, I’m glad I got to see it, but there’s no way I could ever do it.
The Coolest Cable Ride!
Built into and inside the mountain, this eight-minute ride is an experience all it’s own. The car is mainly covered in see-through plexiglass, so those who may be squeamish with heights, maybe face towards the mountain on the way up, but I found that as long as I wasn’t in the first row, then after about 10 seconds I could handle it!
Now if this didn’t sell you on visiting this place, then I don’t know what will. Leave your thoughts below!
